Travel: The innovative Treehotel in Sweden offers a remote get-away for design aficionados. With sustainable treerooms, contemporary in design, perched in the middle of an ancient pine forest, Treehotel offers a truly unique experience. A total of 8 to 10 rooms have been planned for the forest area and to date, six avant-garde rooms have been built among the tree tops, each sensitively designed to achieve a minimal footprint and disturbance to the forest by one of Scandinavia’s leading architects.
Treehotel is located in Harads, near the Lule river, about 100 kilometers from Luleå airport. The village has a population of about 600 and features a restaurant, shop and guest house. The most striking part of Harads is its magnificent surroundings and from Treehotel’s rooms guests enjoy panoramic views of the Lule River valley, verdant forest and the flowing river.
